The program in detail

This mini-conference aims to present the newly launched "Startups in Schools" program in Guadeloupe, initiated by the I-Nova technopole, in partnership with the Rectorate and Archipel des Sciences, with the technical support and guidance of AGORANOV.

Paula BRUGHERA, Project Manager of the "Startups in Schools" program at the Parisian public research incubator Agoranov, a member of the Retis network, will present the objectives and content of the program, along with its results since its launch.

Initiated by the public incubator Agoranov in 2015, with the support of the A.N.R.U., and deployed throughout mainland France and Overseas Territories via the Retis network, the *Startups in Schools* program aims to connect students with innovative startups through educational projects designed in various school subjects (mathematics, biology, visual arts, technology, sports, etc.). These projects are primarily focused on scientific and technological innovation, which is reflected in both the content and the tracking methods adopted. Beyond the educational project with a startup, students are introduced to an entire innovative and creative ecosystem. They are invited to explore real-world problems, imagine and design concrete solutions, and sometimes even create and build models and prototypes (smart lamp, connected radio, etc.).

The connection between startups and educational projects is made through the Agoranov incubator, or another incubator or technopole.

The program is free of charge and its objectives are :

  • To promote scientific and technical culture.
  • To spark young people's curiosity about entrepreneurship and innovation and to support them in choosing their career paths.
  • To promote equal opportunities by reaching diverse school audiences.

Several former participants, including teaching teams, startups, incubators, and technology hubs, will share their experiences and answer participants' questions alongside Paula.

Finally, I-Nova and Archipel des Sciences will present the projects initiated and participating in the Startups in Schools Guadeloupe program, which will feature a "demo day" and "launch" session in the afternoon.
