The program in detail

Ecosystem workshop

Based on a summary of the expert report on preparing for the 67th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women, themed "Innovation and Technological Change, and Education in the Digital Age to Achieve Gender Equality and Empower All Women and Girls," Adeline BROUSSAN will lead a participatory workshop. The workshop will aim to identify trends and specificities within the Caribbean ecosystem on this topic, as well as challenges, opportunities, and notable initiatives.

The aforementioned working report presents the conclusions and recommendations from the Expert Group Meeting (EGM) on the priority theme, which took place from October 10 to 13, 2022.

This publication is intended to inform the Commission's deliberations on the priority theme, providing a valuable resource for all delegations and stakeholders.

The summary presentation and workshop will thus cover the following topics:

  • Inégalités entre les genres en matière d’accès et de compétences numériques
  • Inclusive innovation ecosystems and digital transformation
  • Gender-transformative technology and innovation
  • Combatting gender-based violence (GBV) and discrimination facilitated by technology, and protecting the rights of women and girls online.
